 I need to look at it again when I drive by tomorrow. I'm not sure the finished product is turning out quite as pedestrian-hostile as the architects were aspiring to in the render.    Although there is a significant grade and part of the retail is definitely "above ground" level.

These first two renderings are un-cropped versions of the latest renderings available at www.505nashville.com; however, note that these renderings are inaccurate in three ways:

1. Depiction of the city sidewalk in relation to the retail storefront (in reality, the city sidewalk is level with the entrance to the retail on the north side)
2. Depiction of an elevated container (landscape box?) in the middle of the 5th Ave N sidewalk (in reality, this box is non-existent)
3. Depiction of stairs which turn 90 degrees to face 5th Ave N (in reality, these stairs are a straight path running north and south with no 90 degree turn)

The third rendering is accurate in its depiction of the interface between the 5th Ave N sidewalk and access to and from the retail. The architectural 'screens' covering the parking (above the retail) are an early design which was not included in the final design.

Also included is a floor plan of the 7,100 SF of retail space. It accurately depicts the retail space and access points to and from 5th Avenue North. Attached is the latest retail leasing flyer if anyone is curious.

I hope the new garage will have rates similar to the library garage for nights and weekends. Like our hotel rates, our garage rates have grown to extremes!

The cost of parking is one of the reasons I don't go downtown anymore .  I can afford it ,  but it's the principle of it. I was invited to a wedding reception downtown and I declined the invitation because I refuse to pay that much for parking .

I didn't own a car in NYC. didn't have to worry about parking ,  but I refuse to pay that much to park for an hour or two .  They should have their reception somewhere where parking is free.

When I walked by the new garage last week, daily rate was $20 -- so more than the library.  The library has gone up, but it's still the most affordable at $13 daily max. There are a couple surface lots you can get cheaper daily rates if you're in early.  I can't speak much to event/evening/weekend rates, but as far as I know, the library is still best for that as well.

I try to park on the other side of the river in lot R and walk over. Its free almost 300 days a year.
