I think they are just too big now. They have offices all over creation and are spending a lot of money upgrading the offices out by Centennial Park. They also have a lot of room to expand on the other side of the RR tracks across from One City.

I have a friend that works for them, and as soon as they opened that downtown office, they were already bursting at the seams. I imagine they will just keep snapping up space where and when they can. 

Worldwide they have 275,000! I knew they were big but damn. A quick search didn't show me how many are in Nashville though.

I'm not sure where to put this post. With Chase Bank now in Tennessee and growing it's presence. Do you think they might consider building a tower?

Also, and this is not going to be a popular post, could we start an old Nashville thread where all the old pictures and discussions could move to? I get on to see progress, not pages of old buildings that no longer exist. Why concern ourselves with things that aren't even in existence? I could get on and post non existent alien buildings all day but why? End of the rant that will no doubt bring Thor's hammer down on me.

This has occurred to me as well – not because I don't want to see them but because I wouldn't want to miss any. They form a natural group, and as things stand, they're scattered in different threads.

Yeah, I think that's the problem. You open a thread to see progress on a certain project but then there's pictures and a full page of discussion of old buildings that used to be where the new building is being built.  As Smeagol said, there's a thread that fits this kind of information.

2) Demand for multimillion-dollar homes spreads throughout Middle Tennessee.

Transplants fleeing the high cost of housing in cities around the country are helping upend Middle Tennessee’s luxury housing market.

Moreover, homes with seven-figure price tags have spread beyond their usual neighborhood pockets, further changing Nashville’s housing market, according to one real estate pro. 

John G. Brittle Jr., a Realtor and broker with Parks Real Estate, said the “ultra-luxury” real estate market, where homes sell for over $2 million, is more robust than it’s ever been. 

Thus far in 2021, over 204 homes have sold in Williamson County for over $2 million, including 13 for over $5 million, according to Realtracs Solutions, a company that tracks housing data in Middle Tennessee. For comparison, in 2020 there were 113 homes bought for over $2 million.

Interesting thought!  If it was just marginally less popular than it was it may have gone off the air and been mostly forgotten about, then the music industry likely never would have come to Nashville, which means no lower Broadway district, which means no tourism or buzz, and on and on.  Without the Grand Ole Opry, Nashville might just be another Little Rock today.
