  1. Are any of you guys Supercross fans? I was watching the race in Nashville last night and they showed this outdated drone footage followed by a more up to date image. https://youtu.be/Gmmm-pfFTx8?si=JV_3ATb7moXi9LjA
  2. When you drive through Huntsville nowadays, it feels like you're driving through a pretty big city. It feels larger than Knoxville. Heck, it feels larger and more modern than Louisville or Indianapolis. At least, until you hit downtown coming from Decatur.
  3. 1947 Nashville looks a lot like modern day Clarksville. I like to see either Clarksville, Murfreesboro, or Franklin get a high rise.
  4. Hey Kevin, you posted those pics in the correct thread. Sorry, bud. But I'm really interested in people's thoughts on the question Ron asked about who will benefit from Blue Oval. Maybe Ron can move the question to another thread where the question can't get derailed as easily?
  5. Before this thread was hi-jacked and for some random reason we had statistics about durham shoved into our faces, we were talking about who benefits the most from Blue Oval City. I'd like to hear other's opinions. Please and Thank You!
  6. I think the distance to both cities is a bit of a stretch. When you look at Toyota in Georgetown, ky. It definitely benefited Lexington which is 18 miles from the plant. But Scott county which Georgetown resides, was a nothing county before the plant and now is the fastest growing county in the state. Jackson is 44 miles, and Memphis is 55 miles away from Blue oval. Arlington is only 24, so it'll see benefit from the plant, but I think the real winner will be Brownsville. It's county is around the same size as Scott county, ky was before Toyota. I believe given enough time, Brownsville may grow larger than Jackson. Jackson should see some benefit and grow itself but nowhere near the rate of Brownsville.
  7. Hey Binbin, you gotta get us in on this deal. I do public speaking all the time. We all here will do public speaking for a trip to London or Australia.
  8. Am I overlooking it or is four seasons not in the list?
  9. Two more photos and then I stop, I promise. I just wanted to see what they'd look like...
  10. PillowTalk, here you go: Ha! Oops. I didn't notice before that it was leaning.
  11. • Kimball (Just because that whole region around Nickajack Lake (Kimball, South Pittsburgh, Jasper, New Hope, and Haletown) is beautiful and deserves to be discovered and this could help promote growth in the gorgeous region) • Chattanooga • East Ridge • Ringgold • Dalton • Calhoun • Cartersville • Kennesaw • Marietta • Atlanta
  12. Positive article. Here's the negative section from the article: Zoom in: The booming economic growth has created a quandary for Metro as the city's transportation and housing infrastructure have failed to keep up. Thanks for representing TDOT
  13. Would you happily 'take the last train to Clarksville'?
  14. I had the Nashville hot chicken biscuit from Hardee's yesterday. It obviously isn't going to compare to Hattie B's or Prince's. But I dare say it was the best chicken biscuit from a fast food chain I've ever had. And that's saying something because I really like Bojangles' chicken biscuit. I have to state that my biscuit was pretty fresh. I imagine if you get one that's been sitting under the heat lamps a while, your experience may differ.
  15. Tdot!!! Can all the decision makers in tdot just be fired and replaced with people that at least graduated high school? Can that happen? Please!!!
  16. That's not a turn lane. TDOT would never waste tax payer dollars on a turn lane that goes no where. They're professionals. They know what they're doing. It's a bike lane for adrenaline junkies
  17. I don't know why Cleveland isn't in Chattanooga's MSA. I did like looking at the county numbers. Madison county is so close to 100,000 and so is Sevier county. They'll definitely be over that mark when the next census rolls around. I think Putnam county might cross it by then as well. Robertson might? make it too.
  18. I LOVED! Siggy's design. It had a shorter height design at the beginning, which actually would be doable today. I'd love to see that iteration rise up.
