https://www.wkrn.com/news/local-news/nashville/neighbors-concerned-with-east-nashville-short-term-rental-after-shooting-at-halloween-party/ Pretty easy to follow the ownership path with this. Parcel Viewer shows a mailing address for the house to be a property on Main St and that leads to a property on the wiLliamson side of brentwood. So much for outsider REinvestors being good neighbors and working together.

Anyone pro new stadium is anti Nashville. It's not even like the franchise was born here, it came from somewhere else. Cooper hosing Nashville. Anyone from outside The Great State of Davidson county should not even comment.

I sure am glad my freedom to talk about a sportsball facility on the internet is protected. I bet that's what those people had in mind when they signed on the dotted line. Uh, huh. And they said the other stadium would last 50 years. Ya'll lyin and makin sh it up just like last time.

Too bad there's not a covered arena already downtown they could use to hold concerts. Sounds like the MCC is also not large enough, better start the paperwork on getting that replaced!

From CM VanReece's newsletter Artist Lofts 3539 Dickerson Pike indefinitely deferred. The Virtual Community Meeting is Moved to January 5, 2023. I had an excellent conversation with Evan Holladay with Holladay Ventures at Madtown Coffee yesterday afternoon. We were able to go over all of the concerns that were provided. It is clear to me that Evan is willing to go back and work on this plan. There is a lot that we have asked for him to do, so I want to give him time to do that and come back to us with a new plan. He has agreed to ask the Planning Staff to indefinitely defer this application until it is worked on and can gain both planning staff and community support. It will NOT be on heard at the November 11th Commission Meeting. I am moving our community Meeting/Zoom call past the holidays to Thursday, January 5, 2023. If the Planning Staff and Fire Marshall have approved the changes that Holladay will need to make and we are surprised by having something to review before Christmas, I will inform by email that the date was moved up. The Monday, October 24 Virtual Meeting has been moved to January 5, 2023, 6 pm

My point being that there aren't any rules. So, the Superbowl, Wrastlinmania, CFP, stadium concerts and Final Four can all theoretically happen at the current stadium.

Remember when Cooper's entire mayoral pitch was that he would make better deals for Nashville and it's citizens? And I'm really interested in when Wrestlemania became a big issue for the Titans and the Mayor. It's not like an outdoor WWE event didn't just take place in the same stadium they're talking about demolishing because it . Hell, the following Wrestlemania's have been held in open air stadiums: 37, 35, 33, 31, 29, 28, etc. And the Superbowl has been held in an open air stadium North of the Mason-Dixon Line. There is no "can't" when speaking about whether these events can happen, just if people decide to do it. Something something fiscal conservatism and vewdew economics.

So when does the lawsuit start against the builders of the current stadium, since the TITans are claiming structural issues? Oh wait, no, that won't happen because that would be anti-business and we can't have that. Did the Burke Nihill guy creep anyone else out? LOL at "what about everyone that already has PSLs?" and creepy guy's response of basically "Yeah, uh, we'll get back to you on that." You have a very large brain if you think you won't have to buy another PSL. The arms race for bigger stadiums has been dead for over a decade. They're scaling back overall capacity to add better/larger lower bowl seats and more luxury boxes, that's where the real money is at. Kinda like voting down mass transit because it was too expensive and building a stadium that barely lasted two decades.

The Transportation and Mass Transit Megathread
grilled_cheese replied to TopTenn's topic in Nashville
But that could hurt business-as-usual and tourism! A loss of even one net tourist is UNACCEPTABLE and could cripple our economy!!!!! I finally used the QuickTicket app to ride the bus and it was super easy and will encourage me to ride the bus more. -
