MontanaGuy , thanks for your daily updates and pics. Looks like the site prep is very close to being completed, just eager for some kind of next phase to begin! I get excited when concrete starts to be poured.

Not much new today, more grinding on the walls and hauling off loose rock but there isn't much of it left.

Today they're lowering the level on the side facing Amazon 1.  They're digging out quite a lot which I wouldn't have expected!

One thing is for sure, this will be the most well documented build in Nashville's history.  Tony should consider a basement level 1010 Tower construction museum and add two more levels to the top to include an observation deck, gift shop and restaurant.  Like One World Trade Center in NYC.  The museum can house all the donated material you guys can submit that documents the construction of 1010 each and everyday... LOL!!!

Note: If you have plans to visit NYC, go to One World Trade Center to the Observatory.  Unlike most other observation floors that as soon as you step off the elevator you see the views, they created a video presentation that is projected along a long wall that ends with that wall opening up to reveal the NYC skyline.  In December I plan to visit Summit One Vanderbilt which is NYC's newest observation experience.  I'll be sure to post photos.  If the temperatures aren't too cold, I may do the Edge at Hudson Yards as well.

Thanks for providing such great updates, on a very consistent basis. 

It does seem "slow rising" when viewing the updates just about every day, too. LOL

It's funny though, because skyscraper sites here in NYC seem so slow going too, when I walk past them often and can't really see down into the site. Although they do have clear "window panes" that are squared at points along the construction fencing to glance inside. But you can't see the entire site very clearly. 

I think people just want this Nashville 750 footer to start rising ASAP, so it can make that dramatic impact on the skyline, which I think will truly elevate Nashville's skyline in general, into the bigger leagues.

From Tuesday afternoon.  The hole in the fourth photo is pretty deep, I'm starting to wonder if it could be the second crane location right next to Church Street although it could be something else.

I believe this is going to be the bottom of the parking garage elevator shaft. In the snip below you can see an approximate location of the tower crane base will be just west of the tower itself. The blue rectangle appears to be in the approximate location of the elevator shaft.

Visited One Vanderbilt this past December and it was a really great experience. Excited to hear your thoughts!

Thursday afternoon, rebar going into concrete forms.  I see that they've moved those six big forms into that screened off area.  Quite a bit of digging since yesterday.  I'll be out of town until Tuesday.

From Tuesday afternoon, it looks like foundations for the columns around the YMCA are in place.  There's also quite a few more holes of various sizes across the site.
