From Nash Biz Journal, posted earlier today: "Tony Giarratana has secured the funds to build Nashville’s tallest tower. Giarratana today closed on $232.2 million in construction financing for 1010, a 60-story condo and apartment tower near downtown’s YMCA. Little Rock, Arkansas-based Bank OZK is providing a $172.3 million senior loan and New York-based Related Fund Management is providing a $60 million mezzanine loan for development of the mixed-use tower." https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/news/2024/04/03/tony-giarratana-construction-loan-nashville-tower.html?utm_source=st&utm_medium=en&utm_campaign=BN&utm_content=NA&ana=e_NA_BN&j=34917560&senddate=2024-04-03

Visited One Vanderbilt this past December and it was a really great experience. Excited to hear your thoughts!

I like the lighter colored brick & facade that is in the new renderings much better than the darker color. Sad to hear they aren’t relocating whiskey kitchen like they originally planned.

I think it looks stunning - and if the east bank activation turns out to be half of what the renderings are showing, that will be a very dynamic area. Count me excited!

My understanding… from how everything I’ve seen… is that it was a two round bid and LAZ was the only company who actually submitted the second round on time? I mean it does seems suspicious that LAZ was seemingly the preferred vendor and also happened to be the only one who “followed the rules” of the bid… but if true then makes sense they won haha

Has anybody heard of any movement on the fountain installation at the Deomnbreun hill roundabout? I know when I was living at skyhouse they rolled out plans and we’re fundraising for it. Curious whatever happened to that

For what it is worth - My wife and I have lived in midtown for a couple of years now. We got rid of one of our cars about a year ago. At the moment, it doesn’t make sense to get rid of our other car, but I know at least a handful of people who are in our building that are doing the same thing and just having one car that they share with their significant other. I also know there are at least a couple of people who live by themselves in this building and don’t have a car entirely. Obviously, the vast majority of people that live in our building do have one car per person; but it is slowly becoming more feasible to live in downtown/midtown and get by without a car.
