I like the idea of pockets parks, even more when there is a view to be had... but personally not at major intersections. That intersection already is a cluster of streets coming together, and thus crying out for a landmark to define the corner there much better.  I agree about the house and have wondered if the inside had been preserved.  That would not have disqualified it for rehabbing in my mind because I remember when Margaret Mitchell's "Dump" was a true dump before it was restored.  Of course, now that it is gone the greatest tragedy would be if nothing is built there.

This looks great!

The folks commenting on Historic Nashville's Facebook page do not share UP's enthusiasm for the design, however.

And some of these same people piss and moan about the development beat Centennial Park where the structures have lost nearly all historic value. Again, these preservationist need to be more proactive and not reactive because in this market money talks and makes things move fast and by the time it his the media it is far too late.
