  1. I keep reading that Amtrak is proposing a new line from Chicago to Miami with stops in Louisville and Nashville. Is this new information?
  2. ^^^That lot is owned by Old Town Trolley Tour Company.
  3. ^^^I agree with the Ingrams purchase and rebuild. Part of the rebuild could be an Inland Waterways Museum.
  4. ^^^So have all the trees been cut down on Second Avenue?
  5. ^^^Other than festivals and large gatherings I agree that vendors should be banned from downtown. It takes away sales from retail businesses that are paying premium rates in the city center.
  6. ^^^Most of the trash is flying out of the trucks going down the roads of Middle Tennessee. The people driving these trucks know exactly what they are doing.
  7. ^^^I think the parking lots for Union Station are owned by Zach Liff.
  8. ^^^I agree with bnacincy if Nashville gets an MLB team the stadium needs to be within walking distance of the entertainment district. 80 home games anywhere else in the city would be difficult to keep full during down seasons.
  9. If it takes a referendum to get rid of the racetrack all together at this location then I would help with that campaign. Bos2Nash you are one of my favorite people for informed info, but IMO the track is just too loud. I don't care what or who was there first. This isn't a freeway or an airport it's a "sports" venue.
  10. ^^^The race cars are too loud and the majority of the folks in the neighborhood don't want it.
  11. ^^^My thought is that developers are trying to make this area of the city a more relaxing place to live. A Vancouver BC model. Upscale and geared for local residents.
  12. Attendance at the Nashville SC Match Saturday was about 1/3 St. Louis fans. Also, Titans, Predators, and Vanderbilt games are about 30 percent visitors as well. Just saying
  13. ^^^I lived in Green Hills near Lipscomb University in the early 2000s. The noise from The Fairgrounds Racetrack is unbearable. It can ruin an entire weekend for people living in here. If it were up to me the racetrack should cease being a racetrack at this location. Have a vote of the people that actually live within a 2 mile radius of the track.
  14. ^^^I agree with Baronakim. I drove by the hotel today. It's English Ivy like before. It will thrive for many years.
  15. ^^^Not true. We have all the elements of a great city. Nashville will continually grow just like Atlanta, Dallas, Denver, Seattle, Chicago, and any city that has a great diversity in businesses and a strong creative class, Nashville will survive the ups and downs of the economy due to the high concentration of higher education and excellent health care. Distribution of goods in a centrally located area will always matter too. WE GOOD.........
  16. ^^^The parking situation is not ideal , I went to the trouble of getting a VIP parking pass. Just go early and slow walk it out.
  17. Attended a Jamey Johnson and Blackberry Smoke concert at this venue last year. It's an amazing place to see a show. Go early because it's like visiting a State Park. I predict this place will be one of the top concert venues in the country not just in the south.
  18. ^^^I suggested two years ago that the stores at Green Hills Mall should open in the Gulch and 12South due to the changing demographics. The Green Hills Mall would make a great upscale hospital and assisted living area. I know that sounds crazy but I really believe this. Long run
  19. I agree with donNdonelson2 and bnacincy that TPAC should be on upper Broadway in Midtown. Bicentennial Mall is geared toward museums. East Bank for sports stadiums. When seeing a show most people want to have drinks and dinner before the performance. So being able to park once then walk is best in my experience. Also, a marquee sign on Broadway would be a great vibe of big city lights and sound before a show. Downtown Chicago, Peachtree Street Atlanta and Broadway New York is what the city should be looking for IMHO.
