Considering they broke ground in August, it seems they have done well, however, they hit the water table and had to pump out a lot of water, and they had time involved working with such an odd shape lot. They also had to shore up the area where the 6 story diner is going. There have been some challenges.

Yeah...I would imagine building next to that "half-a-brick-wall" diner is like building next to a house of cards.  One wrong move and it tumbles to the ground.

Maybe SoBro will rise fast enough that there won't be enough clearance between the two to even bother completing that brick wall. A permanently unfinished brick wall would be appropriate for this project, given its recent history.

My computer oddly sent me to a Photobucket site where someone is storing photos of Nashville development renderings and plans. If it is someone on this board, forgive me but I had to share one of them.

...

...

If you are on this forum, perhaps you could explain the two renderings of the two 40+ story hotels.

"Temptation Blvd"?

In a way, I'm glad they're not my mine, or I'd have way too much explaining to do.  I'd be bombarded with questions like hornets on a pesky squirrel.

Just bear in mind that with many other online image/video content-storing sites, in particular with Photobucket, the "Content Privacy" config. probably is set (as a default) to allow others to copy, download and/or print a member's photos and videos.  If indeed there is a matter of intellectual rights for downloaded or shared material, the initiating member should qualify the specific item as such.  Even without such conditions of usage, I can understand your concern, since we do want to remain as ethical as possible, and at least give acknowledgement where credit is due.  Like seeing a cooling-off apple pie on someone's window sill (or a chess pie, down these parts), but if no one answers the door (to at least let you suck up for a piece), then what do you do?  Just pretend it's not there?

Vertical permit issued. Per JR:

James McHugh Construction is the general contractor on a $23.7 million permit to build the first 10 (of an ultimate 32) floors at 205 Demonbreun, the project of WMG Realty Holding — a venture including Wanxiang America Real Estate Group, Magellan Development and Nashville-based Giarratana Development.
