When I was in NYC in June, I walked past a few of the small parks they have in some of the more residential areas of the city and saw kids playing basketball and other activities.  I also saw along the west side larger recreational parks with swimming and more outdoor activity typed stuff.  Seeing that made me wonder if Nashville has any type of recreational space other than walking/biking trails for people living in the CBD.  I know that many of the buildings have fitness centers and there own pools.  But what about public recreational space that includes basketball courts, volleyball courts, playgrounds, etc?

There will be a small private park next to the 333 building on 11th Ave S.  MarketStreet will own and operate this.

Ford Fry's Superica opens in 5,800 sq. ft. location at605 Overton St. in the Gulch.

My wife and I will probably go here once a week.  I'm changing the name of my "Dining Out" budget category to read "Dining Out At Superica."

If the next Mayor could get the interstate capped between midtown and downtown, I think that could cover a lot of bases for green spaces. It's not that far from the center of downtown and with some dedicated bikes lanes and other activation it could be a really unique feature for Nashville.
