Yep....Being able to see the curtains in the Westin still bugs me...I was hoping that would go away, but nope.

It really is hideous.  I have no idea what the Westin was thinking.  A little bit more window tint would have made a huge difference.

Seriously though, who's to blame for the obvious disconnect between design and finished product? Architect, developer, contractor, supplier? If I had just dropped 9 figures on this building I certainly wouldn't be pleased with the end result.

I just don't understand why you would want anything other than reflective glass like all of the other skyscrapers use...especially in a hotel where you wouldn't want people looking into your bedroom.

I guess if you don't want to wind up on some seedy website in the underbelly of the internet, you'd better just forget about changing clothes or taking a shower when you stay there.

A combination of the three, but I would't go as far as saying there was a disconnect. They more than likely wanted to avoid the high price tag for the reflective glass curtain wall system.

If that was their intent, they're going to pay for it in the long run with exorbitant cooling costs.

I'll bet the farm that it's not finished. I've googled other Westins and none were left like that.

Why would anyone think this building is finished? Where is the common sense? Anyone with a pair of eyes can see they are still working on it. If you look at the right side of the building you can see a scaffold and three columns of dark tint in two different shades.

Why all of the hysterical hissyfitting?

It makes you wonder about certain people.
