This was from Nov. In the NBJ.

Then: Louisiana-based liquor giant Sazerac Co. was on the hunt for a Middle Tennessee distillery. The Daily News Journal reported that the company, which makes more than 30 bourbons, such as Buffalo Trace and Pappy Van Winkle, had its eyes on a Murfreesboro property.

Now: This spring, Sazerac landed required regulatory approval from the Murfreesboro City Council for its planned distillery at a 55-acre property on Asbury Road, off Interstate 24. In July, the company officially bought the land for $86 million.

Next: Sazerac hopes to open its full development — including two barrel warehouses and a visitor center — by 2020. The company plans to employ 20 to 25 full-time workers and, according to media reports, expects the complex to draw 50,000 tourists annually

Also, does anyone know what's going on at the corner of Hwy 99 and I-24? I know The Outpost is building a big indoor gun range, but they've cleared out a TON of land there. My guess would be strip malls and hotels, but I just can't find anything else on it.
