Yeah I mean I don't know the real number, but it's definitely way beyond 22 lol... I mean cities like Chattanooga and Fort Wayne and Toledo and Harrisburg and friggin' Midland, TX have have buildings over 300 feet tall.  Maybe East Side Urbanite just mistyped.

yes UP is working wonky today with photo uploads for sure but I finally got some to load.

It looks like an important qualifier was left off. I think it was intended to say that there are 22 cities in the US with 30 or more buildings over 300 ft.

Yep, I just tried as a test and got the same error code.  This is a test. If you post from another server such as a photo posting site, I think you are OK. It is just if you are trying to post directly to the UP hosting is when there is an issue. It could be a storage issue.

Rumors are that Bet365, a UK-based gambling company, is considering Nashville to become its U.S. HQ. 

It is looking to put $40 million into building and furnishing about 120,000 square feet of office space that would accommodate more than 800 new jobs.  They are also looking at Denver and Tucson.

There was talk of possibly adding gambling to the new stadium. That would be an interesting combo.

Whisper Aero, a two-year-old company whose electric-powered fan--kind of like a propeller--creates quieter and more efficient thrust,  will be moving part of its operations from Shelbyville to Nashville, doubling the size of their staff with around 50 new local employees at an 8,000 sq. ft. facility near the airport.

Nashville is adding apartments (for our market size) at the tied for 2nd fastest rate in the country only after Salt Lake, Austin, 

9300  apartments adding in the year ending March 31 2023 and 3700 leased or absorbed.    

Peer cities:  Austin # 4,  Atlanta #12, Charlotte #13, Nashville #15     Top 5 you ask:  NYC metro, DC metro and Dallas Fort Worth,  Austin and Phoenix.

I find that interesting as I've noticed there are a boat-load of apartments underway in Nashville's metro and so many more proposed.  I assume the CBRE survey covers all the MSA. Yet lately I've backed away from the notion that Nashville's boom is about to taper off. On the contrary, I've noticed from talking to my children's friends and classmates in college that currently Nashville is overwhelmingly THE place they all want to be, and their college friends cover a region of over 20 states in the eastern and midwestern USA. I usually take that opportunity to let them know that a first job is not a bachelorette weekend (that's when my kids give me the stink-eye).  So they will need apartments, and I've seen how expensive they still are relative to incoming startup salaries. I guess the more apartments, the merrier for them.

Lord when I moved here in 2008 I lived out in Bellevue and paid like 950 a month. It was insanity. I should have gotten a roommate but Great Recession and all nobody had a job or money. Good times.

That report shows 9300 completions in the last 12 months ending March 31 2023.  It does not cover proposed apartments only those completed.  So right now Nashville metro is #15 biggest new apartment market in the country based on that figure.  And relooking at the charts Nashville metro absorbed i.e. leased the highest percentage of those apartments given your market size besting Salt Lake City and Charlotte numbers 2 and 3 in that category

Hello everyone! I wanted to share my love of model making and building things with you all. I recently purchased a 3D printed model of the CN Tower from a shop on Etsy. It arrived all white (I’ve attached a photo) so I painted it, mounted it to a wood base and added some landscaping. I’m really pleased with the outcome. I think in another life I should have been an architectural model maker. I have also shared some other things I’ve built including the Lego Eiffel Tower. You will also notice a screen shot of the Batman building. The Etsy shop that I bought the Burj Khalifa model from created a model at my request. I’m going with the larger 15” version. Can’t wait to get started on this one. I hope you guys enjoy!

Haha I’m glad you noticed it. Another thing I’m a fan of. IDOJ. I have the first season bottle as well. It was just a plain 1964 Jim Beam Christmas decanter with gold vines and a green wash painted on it to make it look thousands of years old. When the show was picked up for a second season, they decided to film it in color and changed the bottle to what most people know. Also, Barbara Eden’s favorite color was purple which was a huge influence on the design. She recently donated the 2nd-5th season bottle she kept when filming wrapped, to the Smithsonian. Here are some close up pics from my 1st season and 2nd-5th season bottle.
