  1. I believe this to be pretty major news if true Nashville will be Oracle world headquarters https://www.bizjournals.com/nashville/news/2024/04/23/oracle-larry-ellison-nashville-world-hq.html
  2. Personally I don’t see the injustice by placing the affordable homes here. No one has a right to live in the area they want and get a fat discount at the same time. I am all for affordable housing like every other decent person, but I don’t think developers should carve out the best portions of developments for it
  3. I’m all for the circus growing, I agree that’s drawing in more people. Not sure if you agree or not, but it’s not the names of the artists on the signage that bringing the people in. That’s what I think is silly. More power to those peacocks, but their names on the buildings is not the reason for the obvious success.
  4. Just because someone doesn’t like the corporate feel of these artist branded bars doesn’t mean they don’t realize how good of a thing Nashville has. I don’t necessarily mind this branding these artists are trying for, but it is a tad silly. It’s possible to enjoy not having peep shows on broad and not like the fact that these bars are doing what they’re doing at the same time
  5. This sickens me to know they are not allowing for bonus height. Other than emailing our city council person is there anything else I can do to help our opinions be known? We get one chance to do this right, and we need density in the core!
  6. The existing facility seats 2472, so the new facility will be the same size essentially. Kind of a bummer
  7. There is a link on the cover of ESPN that discusses MLB expansion. It’s behind a pay wall so I can’t read it, but it seems to have some good info.
  8. I’m wondering the same. Maybe impact fees for business, gas tax, property tax. Maybe they could hit on the corporate tax. I think I’d prefer sales tax as the way to generate $$ for transit, maybe the gas tax also.
  9. Cool angel of our beautiful city from a Tripadvisor ad on Facebook. I know we all hate the standard pic of our city so always glad to see a fresh look.
  10. I was always under the assumption that you can build as tall as you want, if codes allowed it. The problem would then be the insurance on the building, if it’s not approved by the FAA your insurance is outrageous. I could be very wrong.
  11. Gotta disagree with you there. There are some people that I know that get their work done well at their house. I also have friends that touch their laptops every few minutes just to signify to their company that they are working. Not every work from home job is the same And productivity has absolutely faltered some
  12. This is right across the alley from my house. You don’t happen to know who the developer is? Would love to buy one
  13. Holy cow yes absolutely. I was reading National life but my brain was thinking the L&C. I think I’m getting to the age where I need a good cup of coffee before I start communicating with the rest of the world lol.
  14. The Snodgrass building is not the L&C building. Although I’m no help on when these babies were built. Here is a pic of the snodgrass tower
  15. Absolutely incredible collection! Thanks for sharing, I’m not sure which one is my favorite
  16. That is correct. I do like that space as a bar, especially one that already has an established name. This is going to hurt Bar Louie, which it should because that place sux
