I like the new renderings! This is definitely a solid project.

I wonder how the bookstore will be? Are there newer models for bookstores in this digital age? I know e-readers are a big selling point, but not sure how the stores have altered... Either way, that should be a good chunk of rented space.

The Barnes & Noble at Greenridge has a pretty big section right on the middle of the store just for the Nook e-reader, maybe they'll do something like that here.

Truly exciting indeed to see this project begin to rise out of nothing. A business I know of close to Main Street will have about a hundred or so U.S. and Canadian marketing and sales executives in Greenville this week for meetings and training. Whenever these folks come to town they seem genuinely impressed by the city and the region, especially the quality of life and the economic vitality. The uptick in growth evidenced by highly visible projects in and around the city center, including One Greenville as well as 100 East and RiverWalk @ RiverPlace, should be enough to knock their socks off!

Do you think they'll have as big of a selection of actual books?

I hope so, hope the magazine selection is big as well. E-readers are neat and if I read anywhere near as much as I should I would buy one, but I don't. As cool as the Nook set-up is at Greenridge I think it's way too big. It takes up a good portion of the center of the store with displays set up far apart...there must be at least 30 different Nooks on display.

Anyways, it would be cool if the new book store had a good newsstand inside as well with lots of different papers.
