  1. Thanks. His profiles seem to omit the Greenville connection for some reason.
  2. CNET Senior Associate Editor Patrick "Trick" Holland lives in San Francisco, California, according to his LinkedIn page and other reliable sources. The only South Carolina link for him that I can find is that he graduated from University of South Carolina with a bachelor of arts in theater. He obviously must visit here -- and quite often, too, as he has tested several phone models in and around the G'ville area. Perhaps he has some kind of family ties to the Upstate.
  3. This article quotes from the P&C article: "The current home is limited in expansion capability, and the school gets first priority on use of the field, a challenge that will only increase as the club’s presence grows, [lead owner Joe] Erwin said." https://soccerstadiumdigest.com/2021/01/new-greenville-triumph-stadium-in-the-works/
  4. That's what the cover letter says, so nothing to assume. "The proposed improvements include full demolition of the existing convenience store, fuel canopy, and Minuteman Press building; and the construction of a new 5,200 sqft building, canopy, parking areas, drives, utilities, and landscaping."
  5. You can't even claim to be part of that "census-designated place" (CDP) known as Five Forks, the western boundary of which is Hwy. 14. Anyway, welcome to No-Man's-Land.
  6. The notice on the web site says the location is "temporarily closed," so it appears they plan to reopen in the future.
  7. Four pieces available immediately, according to LoopNet and other sites: 1st Fl-Ste 101: 8,737 SF, Office, Full Build-Out 1st Fl-Ste 100: 11,290 SF, Office, Full Build-Out 2nd Fl-Ste 200: 21,467 SF, Office, Full Build-Out 3rd Fl-Ste 300: 6,414 SF, Office, Full Build-Out Anyone know of an entity that was utilizing spaces on three floors?
  8. I love how they have the "Harris Teeter" sign covered up with a "Coming Soon" banner just below. It's not like it's a big secret. I guess they don't want people knocking on the door asking whether it's open. (As Gov. McMaster has said repeatedly in recent weeks, though in a slightly different context: there's a lot of stupid floating out there .)
  9. Doesn't look as though there is enough parking to sustain those types of enterprises. Just one humble personal opinion.
  10. I think this will be an asset to the landscape.
  11. The new Grill Marks at Haywood Mall has a nice outdoor patio that welcomes dogs.
  12. Two important groundbreaking events in one week! Woohoo!
  13. "The hotel, which is reminiscent of a rustic lodge-style found in national parks..." This phrase buttresses the concern that I've had since the plans were first published. Although it's an interesting design, it isn't really consistent with the surrounding community, and I think it's going to look out of place there.
  14. I was about to ask the same thing. Looks like some kind of awning or marquee ... but why that far up the side of the building? Form, in this case, apparently does not follow function. It's just a useless appendage.
  15. Yes, but rents there are going up, too.
