Amazon Two update:  up to 24th floor; glass installation underway.

The view from this angle is impressive along I-40/65 inner belt where it crosses over Herman St:

The reason I say that is because of the ramps down into the pit.  

There is a large, continuious parking garage that I believe will connect both Pinnacle and Amazon 3 (similar to what AEG will do) and that will go up first and then the structural frame for each building will go up independently. This is my belief, nothing official though I believe.  I think Pinnacle will be the first of the two to rise though.

Does anyone else have a small suspicion (like I do) that they are saving the residential tower for last because they haven't yet decided whether it should be residential or office?

I do not. I think it's much easier to sell the residential project to investors and lenders when you have the thousands of office workers fully in place and complete.

Good point.  And saving it for last also leaves open the chance that it could be re-designed to be taller...:D
