Thai Esane is replacing Bar East in the Hill Center Five Points development.

I saw this a couple weeks back on the EN Facebook page. I keep walking by expecting to see some form of activity and there has been zero movement so far. I am seeing the sign permit for the new signage has been applied for which is hopeful to moving things forward.

Dunkin' Donuts update.

Looking west from Gallatin Ave., 1/2 block north of Petway Ave:

Dunkin' Donuts, Gallatin Pike, Sept 30, 2023.jpeg

The guys doing the sign here yesterday about caused a disaster on Gallatin by throwing one cone out without any warning that they were taking over half a lane for their crane.

Saw the news that Skinny Dennis is going into 2635 Gallatin Ave.  in 2024. Bold move of a NY "Honky Tonk" making its way to Nashville but have heard great things about this bar from multiple people.

Also, noticed a lot of work going on at the building on the corner of Seymour and Gallatin by the Kroger gas station. Anybody have any idea what is going on there?

Timberhawk Hall (800 capacity venue) update.

TY for the updates, Mark. It may just be the angles of the photos - or lighting, or fencing, but it doesn't look very good (to me). It looks like it's been sitting there for 15 years - vacant and forlorn. Weathered, but not in a good way. I'm still disappointed that Music City Roots won't be calling this home. I'll drive over there this weekend and see it in person.

1200 Gallatin Avenue was a used car dealer up until 2021 and has sat vacant up until a few weeks ago when a new used car dealer moved in. The property is zoned MUG-A and used car dealerships are not allowed under MUG-A.

Can someone explain how this is allowed to happen? I’m sure the use was grandfathered in for the previous dealer, but it has sat vacant for 2 years and the new business does not appear to be related.

If they aren't changing use, it's allowed.  But any SLIGHT change in use would be grounds for a complaint.
