This is fact. McHugh has space leased two blocks from the location. They are the GC for the project and have been looking for space. I do know it has been delayed, but looks as if the next two weeks or so, we may be seeing movement.

The leased space is to act as a GC office and to interview prospective subcontractors.

James McHugh Construction Co. — the Chicago-based general contractor that fellow Windy City company Magellan Development Group typically uses for its skyscraper projects — recently leased office space in a building located at 418 Second Ave. S., about two blocks south of the site on which the 33-story SoBro will rise.

In Chicago, the company built  including Marina City, Water Tower Place and Trump Tower, each of which was the world's tallest reinforced concrete structure at the time of its completion.

Nice!!

Magellan Development, McHugh Construction, and Lowenberg Architects all work on the same projects in Chicago. Tony also has a lot of Chicago ties with Perkins Will Architects, Lucien La Grange Architects, Cesar Pelli Architects, and Gensler Architects. Chicago and New York are where you want to go for the best architects.

CMMI, Duda Paine, and Pichard Chilton are in Atlanta and they are great as well.
