^ I haven't been in a while, but they used to have 3-4 tables in the far back area (behind the beer tanks) at Rock Bottom.

I'm pretty sure Duckworth's still has tables upstairs, too. (Can't swear it tho)

Nope on both counts. Aloft has one in their lobby, and while they do have a bar, it's not the vibe I'm looking for B-)

So I commute down part of N Tryon to Church, and over the past year kept seeing bits and pieces of this project I didn't know was going on (or that the pieces were connected). It appears they're getting close to completion, but Church St will be closed across CSX eliminating a crossing. It will result in a bizarre little stretch of 2-way Church Street (that they did add a bike lane to)

I have forgotten if Polk's fate has been decided. Is it too late to give the exterior a healthy dose of public art to encourage the city to think differently about it?

This type of thing is usually what happens when they've given up on a building, so they don't care anymore (VA Paper, Good Year, etc.)

Industrious (coworking) signs lease for 21,465 square feet on the 27th floor in a 15-year lease at Bank of America Plaza, at 101 S. Tryon St.

Rumor has it they require at least $100 in TI before they'll even consider your building.

Wasn't sure where to put this. Time for Charlotte City City Partners to do more social activism.

I guess that is what happens when your priority is to appeal to the millions of New Yorkers who think Charlotte's expensive real estate is "super cheap". Engage eye rolls.

What is "growth" if it's simply coming from "added" residents? You're just trying to cook your city's stats by adding outliers to the data model, no?

I was hoping for something like this to move into 615 S College.

The new Omni facade has been approved and renderings are in Accela.  It def looks better...nothing earth shattering, but it makes that corner of College/Trade less monotonous.

Little by little ... block by block ...
