I stand on my previous point, those lights are going to annoy a lot of residents.  Even 200 S Tryon seems to be pretty lit up in those pics.  They need to be angled downward more or something to prevent issues. On the bright side (*cough*,) the park will be safer at night...?

I was at the unveiling/world series party at the convention center (for the free drinks). I dig it mostly, especially the colors! There are some secondary marks too...there is a knight on a horse with sword at side, which is a little overly stylized maybe and hard to decipher, and 2 K marks, one of which is a sword through a dragon's chest which is pretty badass. They didn't show a lot of the Knights typography at the unveiling but I thinks its a little weak compared to the well-drawn marks. Overall, a very decent rebrand that looks more major league than minor league.

It really looks like they copied UCF.  

While its unfortunate that similar colors are already used by a team called the Knights, construction-wise and typographically, the logos have nothing in common. Plus they exist in totally separate contexts. 

 

As someone who designs logos, trust me, just about everything has been done before. Luckily there is more to the brand than just a single logo though, and the system as a whole should set it apart.

It all looks very good to me. I think the main logo is absolutely brilliant. Never expected anything like this. As most probably know, there have been numerous minor league teams in the past that achieved national popularity because of some unusual new nickname. Don't know if the Knights have any way to duplicate that, but this new logo and color scheme should be very popular locally.
