I didn't realize the NC State Fair opens up a temporary train station just outside of Gate 2. My brother in law and I were chatting last night about hearing more regarding the state fair this year then prior years (at least for us).. Either way I went on to look at the Amtrak options and most days the earliest and end of day return options are all sold out.
