Don't we have a handsome looking city!! I can't wait to come home and visit in July. It would be nice if Bridgstone is lit by then and maybe 505. Wishful thinking I suppose. Speaking of lighting, does anyone know what is up with the exterior lights of the Omni? They have been out for quite some time now.

Looking west from above the Cumberland River at Ascend Amphitheater/Riverfront Park in June of 2015.  Amazing what has changed in just 22 months: SoBro Tower, 222 2nd Ave. South, Bridgestone Tower, Cambria Hotel, Skyhouse, The Olmstead, and Crescent Music Row basically didn't exist---now they are topped out. SoBro Tower, The Diner, The Westin, and Eakin's 1201 Demonbreun Building were not far out of the ground.  Just imagining the further changes in the NEXT 22 months is intoxicating.

Downtown definitely looks stretched out from the view at One City. (and it leans a little to the right )

Celebrating a big Preds win last night - at the Westin rooftop bar. And those are my feet poking up (sorry) at the bottom of one photo - because my date and I are lazily reclining on a giant chaise lounge....sipping drinks and staring at the city.  Pretty sweet.

I think it is cool how many buildings that are around a century old (and even older) that are in this shot...I'm counting about 18.  Truly a nice historical section of the CBD.

I'd say - moderately. We didn't get there until maybe 11:00 - left about 1a.m. and people were still arriving. Favorite spot is up the spiral staircase on the 2nd floor area.

But the real question is whether or not Bridgestone is taller than The Pinnacle. From this angle it is hard to tell

It actually is the tallest, IMO.  Just having some 100' spires added to a building (Batman) shouldn't really count...even though I love Batman's spires.
