Claya91 I used your pic for a comparison. It's amazing how much the skyline looks different over a period of 25 years. Of course in the top photo 505, Veridian, Suntrust, The Cumberland, and Cambria hotel building would be absent. The Batman building was still two years away from being complete at that time. Crazy.

I want to know how many more floors 505's core has and how high the glass wall surrounding the HVAC up top will be.

I had a picture day Saturday. Will post pics when I can. Teaser:

This is an unofficial pic from the Division St. Connector bridge. This view will be destroyed by Sixth South

A little off topic but your picture reminded me of something. I have been looking at the WKRN Adventure Science cam and have noticed the the Omni lights have not been on lately. Any ideas why?

Man the Cambria has made quite an impact. I can only imagine what that view will look like once the other two hotels and the JW are finished. Then there is the lot right in front of your building. I'm sure something will go there sooner or later.

That ugly parking garage on the left could use a fresh coat of paint or something. It looks so drab.

That's the corner and garage I wish the Federal GSA had picked as the site for the new federal courthouse for a whole slew of reasons, not the least of which is its proximity to the Kefauver building. But also, given the development along Church Street, I feel like that lot for the proposed courthouse would be developed already by a private concern. Plus, I have always abhorred that garage unsightly and hard to drive in/out of. Because I had assumed for years that a new courthouse would just go at that corner (even post-OKC they could design a bomb-resistant building) and take up much of the site where that garage is. I assumed the Federal government owned that garage, but could be wrong. If it does own the land, then that would have been another reason to put the new building at that corner.

JW is finally becoming noticeable from the downtown loop.

It'll appear pretty substantial from the Ft. Negley perspective when it's finished! If I remember correctly, its final height is roughly equivalent to the Renaissance, so from this angle it will appear quite a bit taller than the Westin, Renaissance, or even the Snodgrass tower.

This photo accompanies a NP article about the transportation bill.  Virtually none of SoBro post-MCC exists. Looking at it, I wondered how old it is (5-7 years?). Would love to see an updated view ... http://www.nashvillepost.com/politics/taxation/article/20857347/gas-tax-bumps-along-in-house

You can see the top of the Omni as well as the orange color of the MCC guitar roof.
