So, the state announced yesterday that they have acquired a new parking lot at the corner of 10th Ave N and Jo Johnston Ave. Sort of surprised me that what should be such valuable land (with its proximity to the Capitol View project) would be gobbled up for surface parking. Maybe the state will flip it in a few years.

Is it this lot?  https://www.google.com/maps/place/10th+Ave+N+and+Jo+Johnston+Ave/@36.1655988,-86.7902066,3a,75y,32.22h,80.07t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sBMjcYVGnVTzLrF6ToOg2Vw!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x5fc109ab295a73f9!6m1!1e1

Good news regarding SE corner pie-piece bordering KVB/Music City Circle/Lafayette.  Mainland organizing 2.5 acres for larger scale development:

That's a lot of land to do something big.  Eager to hear their plans.

Investors plan something significant on site of A+ Storage Facility on Division in Gulch (next to the new Fairfield Inn and backing up to the I-40 inner loop). This story has been behind the paywall at NBJ since last week.  Anyone have any further info?

I don't want to be the Gloomy Gus (I really am usually a "bull"), but there are a lot of indicators that the economy is headed for a recession... and there truly is a global one right now.  The commodities industries have tanked.  Any developer that has not stored away his proverbial "seed corn" will have a hard time putting up anything if things continue in this way.

Perhaps a topic for the Coffee House is whether or not Nashville could sustain its "it city" status through a recession.

Moxy Hotel (former Richards and Richards Building fronting both Broadway and Third Avenue South), approved for $2 million permit to add 2 floors (total of 6) for 161-room boutique hotel, and design 4 restaurants into the structure.

I am referring to next year. Someone mentioned the growth cycle and my broker recently advised cashing out in many positions.  We shall see. Hope I'm wrong... as my ego is not nearly as fragile as my investments. I hate losing money.  LOL

The stock market is not the economy. That's important to remember. Also, attempting the time the market is a fool's game. You have to be right not once, but twice. And that is nearly impossible to do. Best of luck though, I hate losing money as well!

More info on the new addition to Riverfront Park on the southwest side of the Cumberland River adjacent to Rolling Mill Hill. Am excited about this.  Our river parks are really shaping up nicely…a true asset to the community.
