Maybe it's a "ground fault", making those floors appear to cant downward from the CMHofF&M tower.  Once they tap it down, 505CT will rise some more.

I don't really see the point of only looking at the first 7-8 floors. Will it adjust as the building goes up?

Looks like they are working on the 10th level of parking. The rest of the tower should start to rise pretty fast very soon. You can check it out in News Chanel 5's SkyCam.

As a tangent, these developers are getting pretty lazy when it comes to pool placement. Encore's is on the west, Element's is on the east, a bunch of them (Elliston23, Icon) have them on the north side or in internal courtyards where the development itself blocks sunlight.

Props to Tony G though for the rooftop pool at Viridian and getting air rights to the MDHA garage for 505. That dude knows how to party.

I can attest to the pool at the Viridian getting plenty of sun. Fell asleep out there (ok, maybe passed out may be more accurate) and woke up feeling like a

Icon pools are well placed icon owns the land that pine Street flats were built so the had some say in the matter , and its private on people that can look and the people swimming are the residents and the top three levels of Thompson Hotel

From the initial render, it appears the cut out would be right under the floor they are working on now in markhollin's photos.

If you count the floors on the rendering it would be the 11th. It looks like they are working on that level now. It will probably take shape soon.

I'm not sure the carve out will result in any alteration of the concrete structure that would be visible now.    More likely it will just be a modification to the glass curtain wall on that corner of the one floor.    Just my guess.
