John Matheson told me this morning that he was a the site the other day chatting with some of the crew.  They relayed that the excavation is going to be deep all the way to West End Ave.  Hence, there is still a tremendous amount of rock that needs to be blasted and removed. It may take another 10-12 months just to get the hole squared-out.  Sure appears that this will be the largest underground garage in Nashville.

Math checks out for a 2,500-space garage. That would be about 375,000 cubic yards of total excavation from the pre-Palmer ground level.

Sure am glad the owner has deep pockets.

Some of you who maintain a spreadsheet or two of all the projects in Nashville could share a schedule of estimated completion dates.  That would give us a quick picture of when bodies start filling buildings, and we could compare that to our estimate of the next downturn in the market.  Not sure which thread that would go in.  Just an idea.

What is neat is it shows Nashville Yards plus the Endeavor project. Maybe some of these folks know something we don't with all the new office buildings.

Just saying and I don't think it would happen, but Amazon needs about 5 million sq. ft. This building is 500 K, Nashville Yards is about 2 million, and they could easily put another 2 million on the TN site and it looks as if Highwoods is going to start to tear the TN building down sooner rather than later.

You called it?

Poor guy.  What a slap in the face.  He didn't even finish the digging for someone else!  He could have "maybe" hung his hat on that accomplishment....

His big accomplishment was creating a lake where water-type Pokeman can be found in Pokemon Go.
