The Moore Building is now officially open with 236,000 sq. ft. of office space (up form the originally projected 227,000). Still 8,500 sq. ft. of retail.

Global social media giant TikTok is pursuing a larger, permanent Nashville office.

The video-sharing app is eyeing at least a 100,000-square-foot lease in Music Row's Moore Building.

TikTok has been operating its Nashville office out of the WeWork located at downtown’s One Nashville tower since entering the local market in 2021.

At that time, the media platform signed a lease for three floors of the coworking space, located at 150 Fourth Ave. N., taking over more than 50,000 square feet, an estimate based on the size of the building's average space per floor.

The Moore Building has landed its first retail tenant: Highland Yoga, which will take up 2,182 sq. ft. on the ground level.

Social media app company TikTok will officially take office space in Midtown’s mixed-use Moore Building.

A permit application notes the company will occupy the 12th and 13th floors, with the estimated cost of construction about $2.8 million.

The Nashville office of San Francisco-based architecture firm Gensler is handling the design of the future office space.

The Tik Tok lease at The Moore will be for 143,610 sq. ft., which is nearly 2/3 of the building.

Not saying this was built speculatively, yet one time for building without a major tenant in hand.

I’m just wondering what will happen to this lease, if a Ban on Tik Tok is instituted. They insist that they will fight it out, and I don’t blame them. I’m not a user of Social Media, but if we are to be a capitalist society then all is fair and equal. The Chinese make a huge percentage of all our consumer products, including the phones in our hands , the guidance systems in our military equipment and the chips in our vehicles. If they wish to obtain information or influence our lives, they can simply do it on thousands of our products. So I’m hopeful that this lease works out, for all involved.
