WYFF 4 just teased a story about The Peacock Hotel & Spa, but I didn't have a chance to listen. You may want to check it out this evening.

I saw the news there today filming.

WYFF was on site earlier like everybody else was saying. I missed part of the five o'clock news when it was on, but it should be on again at six. The orange and white barricades haven't even been put out on McBee Avenue yet. The only thing that has changed since yesterday is that there is now tall metal fencing along Spring St. next to the site on the sidewalk.

So much for one lane of East McBee Avenue being closed and construction starting today.

Good write-up. I also agree that $250 a night will be fine in Greenville. Many people aren't aware of the money that passes through Greenville - and I'm not just talking about business travel.

I drove by the site today on my home from my sons doctors appointment and saw the fence. I was wondering though why do they have the Spring Street lot fenced up? Is that the staging area?

No, it is not a staging area for the construction of the Peacock Hotel and Spa. It is a staging area for the construction equipment doing the sewer improvements going on throughout downtown.

Did anybody drive by this site today? I know you did gvillenative. Hopefully, you'll be able to answer this question: Is the one lane of McBee Avenue closed yet?

^^^What kind of activity or could you tell? I noticed they did put road closed signs up next to the orange and white barricades on the sidewalk, so it should be any day now. It probably won't be tomorrow though with the expected rain.

The weather was fabulous once again, so things should be really be heating up downtown.

I think those aerials shots would look awesome with the Peacock in it. It should be fun watching this one rise out of the ground.

Just got back in town today and just drove by here. I never knew a construction fence could be so beautiful! Definite activity starting on the sight.

I think that they knew about the bad weather comming in so are holding off till this gets out of here which will be tomorrow. We are going to get a lot of rain. I did see the superindendent's truck on the site when i left work this morning due to the rain.

I drove by today and traffic had been shifted the barricades were in place and the contractor was onsite.It appears it could be any day now.

About 1:00pm today, there was LOTS of activity on the job site. These were actual construction workers from the contractor.
