CONSTRUCTION THREAD: ONE Greenville (Main @ Washington)

It does appear to be slightly taller than BoA.

It only appears to be taller. The picture is taken from an area that is lower in elevation, looking upward. Look at the church steeple. From this view, it looks higher than the BofA building too.

Have you seen it since they finished it? It is very close to the same height if not a tiny bit taller IMO.

Not really my type of store, but I'll take another variety of retail store downtown any day. Hopefully they complement Mast well. Geographically, their presence makes a lot of sense with our outdoor offerings. Good grab for Hughes!

Orvis is not taking all of the retail space at that corner. Hughes said there is about 4,000 square feet of retail space still available downstairs and 3,800 square feet upstairs. About 20,000 square feet of office space remains available, he said.

So how tall is the Aloft hotel. Isn't it something like 8 floors on top of a 2-3 level parking garage?

It's gonna be right around the same height as the phase II (Brooks Brothers) building. 143 feet 10 inches vs 150 feet: http://www.greenvillesc.gov/PlanningZoning/PlanningApplications/Applications/2013/OCTOBER/DesignReviewBoard/10-03-2013/CA-13-215-WestWashingtonandNorthLaurensStreets.pdf

Downtown Greenville needs more women boutiques and coffee shops.

I'd prefer a nice department store and a Target, but at least we have Brooks Brothers, which is mostly men's clothing, and Orvis will be mostly men's clothing and gear, too, and downtown is at least getting a critical mass of stores that will draw more.

On the topic of new stores coming in: surely Orvis at least did a lot of location studies, right, and got information about comparable sales at stores around Main & Washington, right, so Brooks Brothers and Anthropologie must be doing well, right?
