First piece of tower crane was installed today.

Noticed that today as well. Just for fun, If Embassy Suites gets moving, we could very realistically be looking at 3 cranes on the skyline.

Are we counting the crane over on Phil's job as the 3rd one?  I think the two cranes on ALOFT and Embassy will be the same cranes that ONE used previously.  I'm sure the contractor will enjoy the publicity.

Yes. However, at the rate Rivers Edge is being built I wouldn't be surprised if that one comes down before the Embassy Suites one goes up.

The tower crane still only consists of its base piece. The other cranes are still working on site if that's what you're referring to..?

I heard Orvis was interested in the large space on the back corner (Laurens and Washington). When I called the Asheville location the associate said there was a rumor that Greenville would be getting a location but she wouldn't specify where. Orvis would be great there!!

Excellent. I figured with the book crane coming down yesterday, it would go up either today or tomorrow.

Nah, there was a boom crane on the ONE site the last few weeks that was taken down yesterday.

Not yet. Still rising, so not sure the what the final height will be

I highly doubt you'll see all three at once mainly because Rivers Edge is topped out and Embassy Suites hasn't started construction yet. Maybe one will go up at the Beach Company's project on Church Street...who knows.

We can always hope that Tom Croft's condo project will start this fall or early next year.

No, that's the construction staging site for Rivers Edge in the foreground. They are using reedy square's proposed site.

It does appear to be slightly taller than BoA.
