Yes largely intact at this point I walked by this morning and the portico was torn off and a pile of rubble.  the rest of the building is there.  Those drone shots show the same thing.

Since the whole site is being cleared, is the developer going to build the office tower now, or wait for more tenant commitments?  
 

Also, will the office tower and the apartment tower both rise above a single, shared podium?

Yes, both towers will be built atop a shared podium.  I don't have any inside knowledge, but my guess is that the podium and apartments will be built first with the office tower being started around the time the residential will be nearing completion.  This will give approximately two years for office tenants to be found.  Now, the office could start sooner if someone comes along and signs on for a chunk of the space, but I would imagine it's going to take at least another six to nine months for any towers get started.  Site prep is gonna take a bit and the podium is pretty sizeable.

I agree on what Go_Vertical is saying above. The parking deck podium that the office tower sits on could take up to a year+ to pour on its own, including the foundation. The residential on the other hand does not sit on top of the podium, its more integrated within the deck, so it should rise more steadily. I really think they'll get a tenant, while office is struggling nationwide, I've heard about possible tenants for a couple of these buildings that might make them break ground this year.

Today  11:15 a.m.   At the site this morning and spoke with a construction Engineer for Baker Concrete Construction Company who was looking at blueprints on his iPad.  He said the Queensbridge project has 2 phases.  Phase 1 will include a 44-story residential tower plus garage.  Phase 2 will include a 48-story office tower and extension of the garage.  Currently, pilings are being drilled to support the foundation of the 44-story residential tower and garage.  The Baker Concrete construction Engineer said a tower crane will be erected on-site in mid-September.   Estimated time to complete both phases: 2 to 2-1/2years.  The Uptown Cabaret is nearly demolished.

If that is correct then I would assume they have found a very large anchor tenant. That would be a massive increase in floor space for the office building.
