    I'm still surprised Virginia Beach had a Wegmans before Charlotte. A city of a population around 500k (metro 1.7 million or so). The only things in Virginia Beach are people, roads, sprawl, sand and waves.

    Tesla laid off 10% of their workforce. Don't know if that was company-wide or at a plant in Austin. Haven't had a chance to read the article.....just saw a headline.

    It is better than what is there now. Glad they are incorporating the facade or reconstruction of the facade. I think it looks very good.

    If Norfolk wants to keep at least the current level of programming at Scope they need to get this done and not just sit on it. I'd even be for more modern amenities at the expense of no additional seating. A new arena is not going to be built so put some money into Scope and Chrysler already.

    Now is the city's chance to do something special with Scope, Chrysler Hall and the plaza. The entire complex could be re-made to be truly special. That plaza needs to be a lush, green gathering spot downtown. So much potential. I love the idea of glass curtain walls on the Scope and a new glass enclosed entrance/lobby into Chrysler Hall. But, whatever is done please please please clean the damn concrete and budget money to give those buildings an annual cleaning.

    One would hope the documents Planning/Permitting/Inspections uses is accurate since zoning and building code issues could vary based on the actual/real building height(s). I would think building elevations used for permit issuance would be public record, no?

    Might be to create more distance between the existing residential building and the power line. I would imagine that would be good.

    Dumb question (from a non-urbanite): for retail/restaurant spaces like this, do the operators make some arrangement for employee parking or do employees just have to find a spot? The reason I ask is my daughter lives in UC but I think has applied to a couple of jobs in Uptown.

    D1 Baseball rankings of interest (to me): 1. Wake Forest 10. Clemson 11. East Carolina 12. Duke 13. NC State 14. Virginia 15. North Carolina 18. Coastal Carolina 25. South Carolina A lot of good college baseball in the Carolinas/Virginia.......which is why either Charlotte or Raleigh would be a great place for MLB.
