I could probably spend an hour looking at that baseball card wall.   I bet I have at least a few of them in my old collection back home... and since cards from that era are effectively worthless these days wallpaper is probably the best use for them!

Where is that rainbow wall located by the way?

YES! It’s happening!

From what I can gather, Elmington is doing the middle portion and it looks to be close to what the original renderings were at least according to the site plan.

Red Seal homes are goinG to be doing the townhomes closest to Trinity as that is about to go in front of planning for approval.

Elmington just sold 6.2 acres in the back section to MDHA and then leased it back. So it looks as if Elmington will fee develop for MDHA part of the project in the back section.

Third and Home, the new baseball-themed sports bar in the Sounds Retail Building (2 stories, 60,000 sq. ft.) that will overlook the third base line of First Horizon Ballpark, is set to open June 26th. The 7,000 sq. ft.  is located on the second level and  is a partnership between the Sounds and its stadium-catering partner, Centerplate. I features a 1,500 sq. ft. outdoor patio the faces the ballpark.

So is this on the NE or NW corner? If it is on the NE corner, It may be the Bernard Center, but I thought that project was in trouble.

I think however, it is the NE corner and the Bernard Center project is dead.

This is the permit for 6 townhomes.

Great Circle will be the name of the Southeastern residential complex in MetroCenter at the NE corner of Great Circle Drive and Athens Way.  These new renderings from Studio Architects show 9 structures ranging from 2 to 5 stories (the tallest facing the river) for the 341 units, plus two swimming pools.  The cost is $54 million.

The river may be the focus of the Great Circle residential complex.  However, some of the residents facing the south will have distant skyline views of downtown.  It is unfortunate that they are doing surface parking without any type of design structure to soften the look of the parking lots.  Solar carport coverings would be better than just a blah parking lot with trees in islands.
