  1. Has anyone heard anything about what is happening near that corner? On West Trinity Lane, before Jacks, what are they putting where the old "Fat Mo's" and "Waffle House" used to be?
  2. I haven’t gotten a chance to play the Golf Club of Tennessee, but I’ve heard it’s spectacular.
  3. Two rivers is decent for a municipal course. And, I love all golf. So, to understand the scale better, the best course I have ever played is a 9.5. I’m leaving room that there is always a possibility of a better place out there. I’m weighing factors like condition, layout, the uniqueness and memorability of holes, history, views, price, busyness, etc. So for what it’s worth, my Nashville course rankings thus far would be: 7.0 - Hermitage President’s Reserve 6.7 - Hermitage General’s Retreat 6.7 - Nashville Golf and Athletic Club 6.6 - Gaylord Opry Springs 6.6 - Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club 5.0 - Franklin Bridge Golf Club 4.6 - Country Hills 4.6 - Harpeth Hills 4.5 - Twelve Stones 4.3 - Ted Rhodes 4.2 - Two Rivers 4.2 - Nashboro 3.8 - McCabe 3.0 - Shelby
  4. I also do not know of any new courses going up, but I would like to chime in on this discussion. Nashville is struggling on the public course front as well. There are not an abundance of decently priced, good golf courses in the area. The demand far outweighs the supply and there are many times when getting a last minute tee time is nearly impossible anywhere! I have a weird hobby of rating all of the golf courses I play on a scale of 1-10. And in my opinion, Nashville has a serious lack of readily available 6.0/10 - 7.0/10 ranked golf courses that are around $50-$60. All that to say, it doesn’t surprise me that you are having a difficult time on the private club front as well. Nashville is amazing for so many reasons! But golf is not one of them.
  5. I literally check this thread every day almost singlehandedly just to see if there is any news on “North Lights” off West Trinity. (haha). Last I heard, they were supposed to have a meeting on March 16, but I’m not sure if that ever happened because of the virus.
  6. We live just north off west trinity and we’re safe. SO close to us tho.
  7. This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. Being someone who has lived in that neighborhood for four years now, we always HEAR people are going to do stuff (grocery store, car wash, townhomes, this complex, bridge to metro center, etc) but nothing has happened still. It’s crazy cuz we are so close to downtown, so you would think eventually some restaurants and businesses would HAVE to go up there. Please keep me updated as you hear stuff!!
  8. Mark, being someone who is new to this but also lives next door to this project.... what will be next after March 16 to get this project started? Break ground this summer? What other hurdles do they need to clear? Been waiting for this one for a long time!
  9. Dumb question. Is there something WE can do to help? I’ve been following this blog for a long time and this stuff with the mayor is making me sad enough to comment. Let me know how me and a bunch of people who feel like me can get involved. Thanks!
