There is retail in the garage. I go to Subway at least once a week and walk past it all the time.  I think it's a hair/nail salon. (don't pay much attention as that's not something I need, haha).  The storefront glass boxes are basically just art and advertising window boxes for the other space.  They  are not real storefronts.

The gray garage is ugly.  Although the backside of the courthouse isn't doing Rosalind any favors either.

Rosalind side of the courthouse is a massive waste of space.  It's a surface parking lot with two lawns of some sort.  Someone needs to put a 7-12 story residential development in that space.

So I wondered about that and knowing the history of that parcel is it possible that lot and lawn is sitting on a ton of underground utilities that were there when Magnolia was on its old realignment and just not worth the cost of relocating?

That back area is also I think where vehicles access the basement with prisoners so they don’t have a chance to escape while exiting the vans.

They were still understandably paranoid after the mass shooting at the old Annex a few years prior to that.

I love the Central Park feel as these buildings start boxing in around the lake. 
 

Also side note. This is by far the busiest I have seen lake Eola and downtown since this whole thing started.

I like the way the garage creates almost a walled off courtyard.  If the retail there is good, you could absolutely see it being a new happy hour spot for the courthouse and Eola Centre

Bunch of people work in Landmark center that want more options for lunch close by.  Really hoping some good new restaurants pop in here after it is done and the virus is over. I miss Tacos El Rancho and would love a new taco/burrito place in this building.

Thankfully, I’m within walking distance of PubSubs (and I’m pleased to report the Eola Publix has really improved on online orders - they used to be awful but lately I have had zero problems - it is indeed a Pleasure).
