This is another building that has a huge impact from the interstate. It plays large from I 24 and being by itself even larger. It needs company for sure.

That's Peabody Plaza at Peabody Union, which is adjacent to the KVB bridge. Hopefully it won't take long for the two multi-tower projects planned just to the west of that building to get underway. That will fill in the gap there with 6 buildings from 18-38 stories. And we're told Tishman Speyer is planning a 2-tower hotel (40+ story) in an adjacent block fronting KVB. So we hope it will fill in sooner than later. A lawsuit filed by some residents in an adjacent condo building has been dismissed recently at the highest level. 

Saw your pics from Green Hills.... Bless your heart for going into the ugliest and most "cluster-effed" upscale shopping center in the whole country.

I think Green Hills is a study in density and he went there on my recommendation to see the new high-rise construction. There is certainly good and bad there but not many midsize cities can boast about an area like GH.

Drawbacks are there are a lack of sidewalks on Hillsboro but there is a lot of density in that area with a lot of diversity of retail, shopping, residential and services.

The density is ok, as long as infrastructure keeps pace with it. A situation that Nashville needs to work on, the proposed transit plan is a good step in that process.  Sidewalks, Bike lanes and easily accessible public transportation are a key to any successful urban density.
