In the summer of 2024, the six-time CMA vocal group of the year winners will open ODIE’s at 1919 Division Street near Nashville’s Midtown area.

The property was previously the longtime location of the venue Rebar. The site is clear and Rebar has been demolished

2100 21st Ave. South covers3,844 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1954.  It is now being remodeled as another restaurant, this time Jashan Indian.

1602 21st Ave. South covers 13,872 sq. ft. over its 2 floors and was built in 1982.  The NW corner is being rebuilt (slowly) for a new tenant.

War Memorial Auditorium  (2,000 seats, circa 1925) is getting $106 million worth of upgrades with a 2026 completion date planned. The updates will include mechanicals, electric systems, sprinkler systems, accessibility, restrooms and windows.

2317 12th Ave. South overs 2,500 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1925.  It will now be home to Postino Wine Bar, which has just secured permits for the build out.  It had previously been Taqueria Del Sol.

523 5th Ave. South covers 2,000 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1946. It will now be the home Sip SoBro Bar/beer garden, which opens on Saturday.

Work is about to begin on the conversion of two 1920-era homes at 1906 & 1908 Ackeln Ave. into a new boutique hotel in Hillsboro Village.   Originally reported on this thread on May 12th of 2023.

The owner of two Hillsboro Village commercial buildings eyed for boutique hotel The Chloe has landed a $7.4 million loan as it prepares to start work on the project within 10 days or so.

As the Post reported in June 2023, Nashville development company The Mainland Companies will team with New Orleans-based LeBlanc + Smith to operate The Chloe (read here). The future hotel will be the brand’s second, joining the original The Chloe in the Crescent City.

Mainland paid $4.25 million for the property, with an address of 1908 Acklen Ave., in May 2023. The company operates its office from a building located across the street from the property (read here).

The Chloe will offer 19 guestrooms, a restaurant, an outdoor bar, outdoor gardens and a pool. The rooms will average about 400 square feet and start at $375 per night, ranging up to a 817-square-foot suite for $950 per night. A third building — to house 10 rooms, the restaurant’s kitchen and an outdoor bar — will be constructed.

112 Bridge St. in Franklin covers 3,500 sq. ft. over its 3 floors and was built in 1905.  It has now been converted into the Moore-Morris History and Culture Center for Williamson County.

3807 Gallatin Pike covers 3,100 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1969.  It is now home to Roy's Tavern.

1910 Belcourt Ave./1990 Wedgewood Ave covers 3,600 sq. ft. over its single floor and was originally built in 1925.  It has had many additions/renovations over the decades as various restaurants.  Now, Jar Cocktail Club, a Speakeasy-style bar will open inside of Bungalow10 (the main restaurant) and will have a separate entrance. 

With space for 250 people, it  features strobe lights, disco lasers, fog machines, dance cam and DJs from across the country to perform Top 40, hip hop, '90s and 2000s hits each night.

An American tapas menu will accompany the beverage menu, featuring signature and shareable drinks.

Walk-ins are allowed, but reservations are encouraged to avoid the cover after 10 p.m.

Hours are Thursday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., Friday to Saturday from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. and closed Sunday to Thursday for private bookings.

606 Monroe St. covers 1,851 sq. ft. over its single floor and was built in 1899.  It is now home to Neighborlily Cafe, which is a combo florist/cafe/retail shop.

Cannery Row covers tens of thousands of square feet over its 3 floors, and was originally built in 1883.  The concert/entertainment venues (now to be known as Cannery Hall) inside the western portion have gone through extensive multi-million dollar upgrades and renaming.  They will open with shows starting on Jan. 24th. 

“Every choice we made in the restoration and modernization of Cannery Hall was to create the best show possible for music lovers and artists. We built brand-new systems from scratch, while simultaneously redesigning the spaces. Our architects and interior designers, Smallwood in Atlanta, and some of the best audio-visual engineers in the world collaborated to create a spectacular show,” said Brent Hyams, general manager of Cannery Hall. “Each room has its own energy, vibe and sound integrated into the stage and building. Every genre of music sounds great and artists can put on a show with the technical capabilities of a much larger venue, no matter which of our stages they play.”

Much of the renovation effort was centered on making the venue artist friendly — upgrading artist and crew spaces — as well as improving lighting, done by Borealis Live Design, and sound systems designed to fit each of Cannery’s four spaces. 

The Mainstage, holding audiences up to 1,275, is home to PK Sound’s PK Trinity system, using AI-driven robotic arrays to produce strong base and clear sound. The robotic actuators move more as the audience grows. An LED Wall, by Firefly LED, curves around The Mainstage to provide audiences with an immersive experience.

Done by Hennessey Sound Design, the sound at The Mil, able to accommodate 625 people, has more high fidelity and is less loud. A rollout DJ façade is also available at The Mil.  

Three-hundred-capacity Row One Stage has “exceptional sonic fidelity and ruthless, resilient bass,” thanks to Void Acoustics’ horn-shaped Air Motion speakers.

Amaranth, the 380-capacity upstairs event space, can host a variety of events, from weddings to theater performances to corporate events.

Vanderbilt Univ. Kirkland Hall is 4 stories tall and was built in 1875.  Initially it was the main structure on campus, housing most of the classrooms, labs, library, and chapel.  Over its 149 years it has served many additional purposes, and currently features many administrative offices for the school.  It has recently had a complete renovation.
