Once Pinnacle's major construction has almost finished up, I hope the next building to rise is the residential tower between Pinnacle and the Grand Hyatt.

The only thing that might hold that idea up, is that the cluster of residential in that area ( including Tony’s Alcove & Prime ) were for the perspective 5000 employees of Amazon. Therefore IMO it would be a better choice to get 1001 built to pull in some kind of office workforce, yes it would be a gamble, but then in this current scenario renting or selling out these residential buildings is now a gamble if there’s not enough workers nearby that would consider it a benefit.

If I had to guess, I would say this is the next logical step as well. I would think a reasonable approach would be 50/50 apartment/condos similar to what Tony is doing at 1010. Or who knows, maybe the condo market will be so desirable with everything else they are including they do the whole thing condos.

When the request for Planning Commission approval of a 'Pinnacle" sign first came out a few months ago and was added to the Nashville Development Tracker, I copied a page showing a different view of the proposed residential tower I had not seen before. As you can see on the card I made, it showed a differently oriented and much taller tower, over 600 ft by my estimation. That particular render has since been removed from the submittal.

So, there's that!

Southwest Value Partners is preparing to put final touches on the future Pinnacle tower in its Nashville Yards development. A permit was issued this week to erect the “Pinnacle” sign on the under-construction tower, according to Metro records. Two signs, which span nearly 1,300 square feet each, will be placed on the east and west side of the tower.

On my self guided tour of downtown and inside the loop so to speak I spent quite a bit of time looking around Nashville Yards.  Oh yes I did grab a free banana from Amazon to give the walking strength.   Thanks again to @smeagolsfree for the play-by-play on what I was looking out.    While I was talking on the phone I walked right into the construction zone near the retail and theaters underway.  Oh well nobody said anything when I walked out the other end as I thought it was a public street but it was blocked off I later saw. 

The Pinnacle bank building looks great.    The Everett and Emory apartment towers look good too.
