It's finally a bit taller than the Amazon 2 building which is 421 feet when you see it on the City View webcam but it's still shorter than the Prime tower which is 456 feet.  I hear what you're saying though because there's not that many floors left and I'm wondering if it's really going to make it to 500 feet!

Me too! I'm wondering the same. Has a lot of height to go to hit that 500 foot mark. 

We'll see. Waiting for it to "pop" on the skyline a bit.

I’m sure it’s just an illusion, if it’s already looking taller then the 421’ Amazon Tower and has 6 floors to go . Office buildings tend to have at least 12 ‘ floor height which would get 72 more feet plus some type of screening above that around 10 foot high, would make it 504’

I haven’t counted but usually when Mark says that a certain number of floors have been completed (correct me if I’m wrong, Mark), he means the actual floor of that level. In this case, only the 28th ceiling/ 29th floor has been completed with the rest of the 29th level - 35th level +, to go. That would be 7 more levels + curtain to go. I’m sure the height is right on schedule to be what it is supposed to be. Or not, I could be totally wrong. What do I know.

No, it's going to be 72 feet taller.  The list of Tallest Buildings in Nashville has the height of the new tower at 524 but that's incorrect, it's only going to be 504.  That Wikipedia page still has a lot of errors!

From the ground Pinnacle will be 520 something’. From upper 10th it’s 504’ which I guess is the official address. It’s all on the drawings pages back. So if you built a house and it was 30’ tall and then you built a deck on it that was 10 feet off the ground, is the house 20’ or 30’ tall?

I see the egregious error of the Fifth Third Bank (former Third National Bank) height has been corrected on the page, but not on its original entry (which meant the Snodgrass Tower never lost its title of Tennessee's and Nashville's tallest building from 1969 until 1993/4 when the South Central Bell building went up), which still lists it as 490' and the tallest building from 1986-94. I think the reason it was listed as 490' was due to the original "corner-facing" design, which clearly was taller than the present design, and nobody bothered to notice or fix the height error until one of our local UP'ers actually measured the height.

The correction was made because the permits for the plaza overhaul listed the actual height of the building, if I’m remembering that correctly.

Catching up and seeing all the comments about Pinnacle's height.   Count me as one who believes it will hit it's stated mark.  As some have mentioned, our perception is definitely being affected by  multiple factors. 

First, the girth of the building at it's base (parking deck and lowest floorplates) make it appear shorter (and stubby).  Compare it to 505 and Four Seasons.  Both those towers use a slender and sleek profile which tends to accentuate height.  Think of the 901 MLK tower.  It's like 370' or so and yet it "looks" tall. 

Second, the angle of the shots will impact our perceptions. 

Third, all the surrounding towers (existing and u/c).  Often you'll see or hear how surrounding buildings help to 'soften' another much taller tower.  The opposite effect would be the Devon Energy tower many lament in OKC. 

Fourth and final consideration, is what I randomly refer to as Nashville Skyline Neurosis.  We're so accustomed to 300-400' towers that as soon as we hear 500', we immediately think, aww yeah, tallness!  And we expect that rascal to pop!  Yet, in reality, 500' is just 48' taller than Snoddy and we've been watching that since the seventies.

 I'll close by saying, can't wait to see Pinnacle finish and settle into the skyline, no matter what the final height tally is (or from where it's measured).  That angular design will do wonders and, as the young folk say, I'm here for it!

The 13 story office building has signed a huge lease: Creative Artist Agency will occupy 75,000 sq. ft. , that will make the sports and entertainment agency the anchor tenant of the 456,000 sq. ft. building.  They have 130 employees, and will relocate to the new space in late 2025.

Despite the fears and uncertainty surrounding the CRE market, Nashville remains a strong office market. As mentioned in a corresponding post on this forum Nashville is ranked number one in the nation for office absorption. The development team that bucks the current position to table office construction, and gets new space to market will in fact be the winner. 
1001 (A3) should have proceeded with construction, as we all know it would be at least a 2 1/2- 3 year build and hopefully within that time the markets would recover. If they all wait it out till tomorrow, it may never come. And if it corrects itself then it’s another 3 years waiting for completion, and another possibility of changing markets.
