It looks healthy enough. Just shorter than before. -

On a foggy day like today the new towers seem to go higher because you can't see the top. Here is a sample shot taken from Eighth and Demonbreun. -

The weather today gave this view from the Millennium Maxwell House an ominous feel. But it clearly shows how dominant the Nashville Yards development (and Tony's towers) are becoming. Focus is not great due to water on the window. -

This is a great shot. I recently found a photo I took from a similar angle in 1973. The First American Center (now UBS tower) was under construction. My, how times have changed. -
The extra tall rebar on top of the Pinnacle tower probably represents the two story lobby similar to the one the Bass firm had at the old location. This will provide a commanding view of the City as clients enter the new space on the top floor.

Saw the State Christmas Tree going up yesterday morning as MLK Blvd. was partially blocked. Then I was able to see them finish the job from my office window, -

For over twenty years I have marched in the Veterans Day Parade with the other Vietnam veterans. We start near 16th and Broadway and finish at the river. The view has certainly changed over the years. -

I can't seem to get enough of this tower as seen from Church Street in front of the federal courthouse. But here is also a shot looking north on Rosa Parks Blvd.

This may not impact the height discussion, but here are a few shots of Pinnacle taken in the last couple of days. First from the interstate ramp looking east down Commerce Street. Then a photo taken from the parking lot beside the old Sheraton looking north. And a wider shot showing how perspective can affect the appearance of height. Pinnacle will be 100 feet taller than the AEG apartment buildings.

Those are cool. Thanks. -
Here is a view looking east from 20th Avenue and Charlotte today. The Pinnacle tower will be prominent from this angle but will not stand out as much as the old one for the reason correctly pointed out by downtownresident.

More screen material is now being applied to the garage portion of this building. Here is a shot from Church Street today and a closer view of the garage.

More screen being applied. This angle, from Seventh and Commerce, makes me wonder what the folks in Westview (red brick building to the left of Prime) think about this big boy.

If the hotel announced for the northwest corner of Eighth and Demonbreun is built this view of the JW Marriott will be blocked. So here it is for posterity. Seems this hotel has been very successful. -
This is still my favorite angle on Prime and its neighbors. Makes me wonder what Fred would have thought.

My only question now is whether this is the last row of screen or will there be a second level to match the rendering.

Well, regardless of the number of floors, stories or levels, I still think this is an attractive building. Here is a shot taken yesterday from the light at Rosa Parks and Church Street.

That is good coverage by MontanaGuy. Today I got this shot looking over the Hermitage Hotel and it appears the rebar has elbows on it which usually signals a topping out of some sort. Could be a penthouse level. But there is reason to expect some additional height based on the drawings and the current state of the core. Guess we will soon find out.
