Edit: Nevermind, just scrolled on the last page and seen that a parking garage was mentioned. What are the details on it?

Six levels, retail on the ground floor fronting 17th and Division. I imagine it will go vertical as soon as the main building tops out. It's actually a pretty good system: you get the occupied floors built first, then work on the interior while you move the forming crews to the garage. Saves a ton of time since forming parking ramps takes forever. Plus, you have room for expansion if you decide to build a second tower. Of course, the residents on the first few floors might not have a great view.

Great news! I really look forward to seeing this next time I head downtown. I might have to do that this weekend since the weather is going to be good.

On that last pic, what is that hideous structure beside it?? Wow are those colors revolting.

Ha.   That's the recently completed Cadence apartments.   Yeah, hideous is a good word for it.     Unfortunate choices of design, materials and color.

Agreed. Tastefully designed red brick parking garages are the least undesirable standalone parking structures, in my book. Slightly off topic but we were in Downtown Franklin today, and 4th Avenue Parking Garage should be the benchmark for all public parking structures in Nashville. Damn good looking. You can hardly distinguish it from other buildings unless you're right in front of it.

My wife and father in law's (who started the company) company TMP (Thomas Miller & Partners) designed that parking garage. I agree, they did a wonderful job and have gotten other garages based on how that one.

I don't agree.  It's not often you get brick on a parking structure, not to mention there's going to be retail on the ground floor.

I agree that as parking structures go, this one is fairly attractive.  I just hate that it is taking up an entirely different lot and isn't even connected to the tower itself, but that isn't the fault of the people that designed the parking garage.
