I used to get out and drive like that, but the time and cost is just too much. Mark has a system that works very well, and he lives right in town. For those of us that are outside of the city, that may take 15 minutes one way to get here that can turn into a lot of gas.

Back in the mid 2000's and even in the mid-teens it was a lot easier to do the drives because the development was only in certain parts of town. Now it is everywhere. When I do get to do a drive, it is like eye candy when I go through a neighborhood, I have not been through in a year or so. William and I do a drive like once a month, but he is a creacher of habit and only wants to do the big stuff. Back in the old days of UP several of us would pile into multiple cars and do drives and take in the wonders of what was then the New Nashville. LOL 

Maybe when the weather warms up, we can do a mini meet on wheels and do it again for those of you that are interested. Trust me when I say it is now going to be a three-hour chunk out of your day at the very least.

It may just be me, but the way that siding is condensating/wet spotting (?) seems odd.

I thought the same thing. At the least, it doesn’t look ‘quality’.  Maybe it’s ‘breathing’ like the Mississippi Swamp Cedar siding on the house in Green Acres.

I like how this neighborhood has come along... even though it seems like they missed their target date for a lot of it by a couple years. Eager to see it completed.

East End Village (3 stories, 83 units) update: Phase II underway.

Envision Cayce's (now known as Cayce Transformation) start of Park Point East (4 & 5 stories, 203 units, and 24 townhomes, $86.3 million) got underway with a groundbreaking ceremony today. This portion will be on the north side of Dew St., 1/2 block east of South 6th St. (immediately to the east of the soon-to-be-open Cherry Oaks Apts). This marks the 9th project that has gotten underway within the whole master plan.

Construction on the Napier and Sudekum public housing redevelopments should also start in the next few years at the same time MDHA is finishing the rest of the Cayce units.

Received a yellow card for 310 & 312 Donelson Pike the other day for an SP with around 40 units. I am here for it. Donelson Pike seems like such an easy win to build around existing rail near a new library with more amenities coming around Donelson Station.

Now, if we can connect a new Donelson Pike Connector from Donelson Station at the Music City Star & Route 6 down Donelson Pike to Route 18, BNA, Route 55, & Route 52 B at Ezell Pike, we could leverage an increase in homes by connecting transit to jobs at and around the airport--hotels, business parks, industrial parks, airlines, metro jobs, etc. I am hoping to see this idea about a Donelson Pike Connector giving Wilson County riders more opportunity to leave the car at home by taking the Music City Star to Donelson Station then connect using the Donelson Pike Connector.

For now, this proposed development will have Sweet Milk, Cheba Hut, & Salerno Italia across the street & the food truck popup at McCampbell near JVI Secret Gardens & . So let's start small: Add traffic signals to Emery Drive for E-W pedestrians to cross the stroad.
