I didn't see this on the development map.  This is an open field on Scenic View Rd in Old Hickory.  This picture is looking Northeast from between the 6th and 7th holes at Riverside Golf Course.

Looks to be one entrance road down the middle of the property and buildings will be built to the left and right.

It appears to possibly be a renovation into housing. According to E-Permits, plans were received yesterday (2/14) for the property for a permit type of "Building Commercial - Rehab / Multifamily, Tri-Plex, Quad, Apartments" and with the description of "Addition of elevator, renovation of entry lobby and updates to building after fire damage. Additional interior and plumbing renovations and interior finish updates."  Person of contact on the permit application is Andy Berry, which a quick google search leads you to Smith Gee Studio.

They had a two-alarm fire in that church a year ago today: https://www.newschannel5.com/news/firefighters-battle-2-alarm-fire-at-trinity-community-church

The current church was built in 1904, but the congregation goes back to 1854 and the 1871 Foster map shows a "Trinity Church" at this location, so it's highly likely that this church (this congregation and its predecessor church building) is the reason Trinity Lane is "Trinity Lane".

I love it.  They could have easily chosen some but ugly double wide trailer looking building and called it a day.  And, it would have never been discussed on this site.  Instead, they chose something unique and innovative for their office.  This design says to me that they didn't want to just put up another simpleton building you can find anywhere.  Yes, this building will become iconic in that area.  I'm a little sadden that it is where it is because most people will not see it.   Hopefully, we'll see others take an out of the box approach to their designs in other parts of the city.  

Can we get a 10 - 20 story knock-off in SoBro or mid-town? :)

ZMX has finalized the purchase of the .6 acre lot at 949 Main St. at $3.9 million.  This is over 8 times the last sale price in 2013 to Oak Tree Partners for $450,000.   Now ZMX can move forward with their plans for the 6 story mixed-use project featuring  82 units, ground level retail, and an internal garage that was announced a few months ago.
