The driveway is still there, but the building was demolished after the second terminal was completed circa 1960.

I think that is the gate-side of the second airport. I recall seeing pictures of a ceremonial garden for plane watching and dignitaries arriving.

I think this picture is of the airport right after American made BNA a hub in the 80s.  That small cluster of jets in the center of the picture is where there used to be an observation patio, if I remember correctly, but was replaced with some temporary gates for AA while the new terminal was built across the field.

I can remember the first time I visited Dubai in 1993 while on deployment with the Navy. Driving from Jebel Ali where the carrier was pierside into Dubai was quite the boring drive,  It looked exactly like the top photo. My last visit was back in 2008 and I was blown away to say the least. That lone highway through the desert was surrounded by skyscrapers on both sides like in the bottom photo. It’s amazing how much a place can change in 15 years.

The addition to the Library parking garage means it’s now open at the top, rather than the cavern that it once was. So of course I went up to take pics!

Thanks Ron. I also think 5th and Broad could be fun to watch from this vantage point as well, but you would definitely have a front row seat for the courthouse.

Just stumbled across a couple photos that show downtown... or parts of it... from a much different perspective than usual, and I thought I'd share.  I found them interesting.  The first one is an interesting angle featuring the newest part of the skyline that often doesn't get photographed by itself without it's more familiar cousins.  The second one I thought just offered an interesting juxtaposition between the mountains of scrap metal and the gleaming skyline behind.  Enjoy!
