Here's a shot of the historic Palmetto Building in DT Columbia undergoing conversion to become a Sheraton boutique hotel:

Sheraton is under the Starwoods umbrella and they are pushing a new "chic" type of boutique hotels called aloft (no capital letters). Maybe that's what this great building in Columbia will become.

These are AWESOME, fellas!! Keep 'em coming!

I call this one "Three Spires." This was taken in uptown Charlotte on W. Trade Street. The building in the foreground is Trademark, a condo tower under construction (it's nearly complete), followed by its neighbor the Carillon Tower, and the Interstate Tower in the back.

Love those crowns and the somewhat uniform look of those buildings, Krazee! They all mix very well with one another.

Baton Rouge really doesn't get too much exposure in this thread, so my next few photos will be from Louisiana's capital city.

I'll start with a photo of the Louisiana State Capitol taken with my old Canon Powershot:
