Southern Photos of the Day

Nice photos, Krazee! I really have to spend more time in Charlotte sometime soon. I spent about 30 minutes Uptown last summer, and that's about it.

Three Lakeway Center in Metairie, Louisiana; a suburb of New Orleans with a population of about 150,000. At 403 feet, it is the tallest building in Louisiana outside of New Orleans and Baton Rouge:

Thanks! Where will you be in the city? Or is your group going to be moving around? Wherever you go, you'll be seeing some sad stuff, shocking stuff if you haven't been here since Katrina. But, the city is coming back, and at a higher rate of speed than ever right now.

We'll just be at one location working. I know the site extremely well because we've been designing it in my architecture class here at Clemson, I just don't know the context (neighborhood). I have not been down, but I can't wait to get the opportunity to see it first hand.

^INdeed. This is some thread you have created. Congrats! :)

Let's try another shot of Atlanta here......

Atlanta's Midtown Skyline on a Cloudy Night

The clouds aren't very visible here, but they are in the other pics I took.

Thanks, fellas! It'd be nothing without everyone's awesome photos :)

thanks for the bham shot, blazer. the tall buildings in bham aren't tall, but the perspective in that photo really shortens them. the alabama power building on the left looks as tall as the 'big four,' one of which (amsouth/regions) looks much, much shorter. weird.

it's hard to get good close-up vantages of the tall buildings downtown that emphasize their height (such as it is) - i've tried.

keep a'posting!
