Pardon the powerline & dim lighting....I was headed for cover in this parking garage

w/ a severe T-Storm approaching behind me and got this shot of the I-10 bridge.

Ditto that. The size of those bridges always amazes me as well... especially this I-10 bridge in Baton Rouge and the Crescent City Connection in New Orleans.

Thanks for sharing your nice collection Louisiana Thunder, I really enjoyed them all. I really like the sunset on the river and the cranes at the Bienville & Iberville Bldgs. during their construction. Love our iconic State Capitol, they continue to improve the exterior lighting. The State Capitol looks better and better at night.

Thanks 4 the comments. richyb83, I don't know if you saw the building when the 1st lit it up, but the lights made the building look like white paper, it was the best, most likely after getting a high utility bill, they switched to dull yellow type bulbs, still it shines bright, but not as bright it was around 1998.

Thanks for posting woob, but I can't seem to get the image to come-up. Thanks anyway. The LSU/Bama game was a good one. Bama fought hard, I knew they would. LSU has some injuries adding up, I hope they will be ready for the Arkansas game.

Cool picture there, Richy! I don't believe I've ever actually walked through Spanish Town, I've only seen it from 350 feet above from the Capitol observation deck. Looks like a cool neighborhood!

How dare you call any of your shots "somewhat worthless". I happen to like it; keep posting them BR pics, we appreciate that over here.

The Marriott area is one massive business area; BR's largest hotel district on each side of I-10.

Being on UP has me saying Corporate Square again "old" or not, from seeing previous posters. This is the Marriott area. Esplande(inside of Corporate Sq.) is a restaurant/entertainment complex on one side with Click's Billiards, Hooters, Fox & Hound Pub, Sullivan's Steakhouse, and Melting Pot. CitiPlace borders it to the east with United Artist Theatre, Barnes & Noble, several hotels, banks, retail, and restaurants. Just down Corporate Blvd. is the new Towne Center.

One thing I like about the Marriot is that it still looks new. And while I'm thinking about how buildings could have been taller, when you think about it the Holiday Inn Select could have been about 15 stories if they had stacked the three wings on top of each other.

Anyone who says Baton Rouge's downtown doesn't have any density should see this. The highrise buildings are spaced apart, but there is obviously some good density there.

Wow Nate, you really were busy. I like this picture. Actually B.R. has plenty of density if you add if filled parking lots.
