Wow!! I am just getting to look at the forum, was an extremely busy morning and holy cow Batman looky , looky oh what a beautiful day in the neighborhood!! Love it!

To me, some of the biggest wins occur at ground level.

• Right in-Right out off Demonbreun is great! The bollards at the center turn lane will keep the idiots from doing left turns anyways.
• A separate drop off lane in the alley, presumably for rideshare. Will be interested to see how the remote operated gate on a public alley will work though
• Bollard protection for the bike lane (even if it is just flex posts for now)
• Continuation of the generous sidewalk space. 

I also like the scale and porousness of the building's interaction at the street. Not having that ground floor area walled off or grade elevated makes it feel much more a part of the overall streetscape.

Well, it will be the 2nd tallest, once Giarratana's tower is finished, in 2027. That one just kicked off construction and will be 750 feet.  

But so exciting to see a building like this proposed, and it sounds like the $$ is there to get it built. 

What would be cool to see is if the Ritz finally gets a developer behind it to get that going, and if it was pushed to say, 650 feet or so, and get a little height war going on. HAHA

Was just going to mention the Ritz, and also where’s the Tishman Speyer project! Thats supposed to have a luxury flag hotel also, and they have super deep pockets.

Speaking of wars.  I recall Smeags relaying that Tony G. said he wouldn't start 800 Lea until the Ritz started.  Hoping that he now will see the St. Regis as competition for his 800 Lea tenants and get going.  Rubbing my four-leaf clover!

Let's hope that TS sees Turnberry upping the ante and responds in kind with one or both of its two towers.

The crown jewel of Demonbreun Street if built. Absolutely love it. Now we need this one out of the ground, and for something to go next to it on the empty parking lots just to the west.
 

I’d like to see a big time thinking developer along the lines of SWVP draft up and build a Nashville Yards 2.0/South along the railroad tracks between Demonbreun and Broadway. 
 

Church Street is the premier urban/highrise corridor in downtown Nashville. I would put Demonbreun second. Would love to see a project to bring the same type of streetscape and landscaping to Demonbreun from the interstate to the river, much like Church Street has.

I like the way you think ! Thank you ! And include a new Transit Hub into the plan, with an Amtrak station, WeGo, Greyhound,Ride Sharing, etc .

I’d agree that the design may be boring if this was built in New York or even Atlanta. But Nashville doesn’t have anything that looks like this. All the other 500+ footers are Batman or blue glass

The JW Marriott is 384 ft, they say St Regis will be 611 . But looking closely at the images  posted today, the JW doesn’t even come to half way of the St Regis. Just saying

Beautiful building... simple but elegant... love the setbacks and the crown, and the height, of course.  As others have said, hopefully this inspires some of the nearby stalled projects to get going.

Also is it just me or is Nashville really starting to turn the corner in terms of architectural quality?  Hopefully Haven is the last large, prominent building built to such low standards.  Nashville has evolved, and I think developers know they've got to come correct now.

The Autograph Hotel is not even on the White Lodging website, but I have heard it is supposed to break ground this year. I have not seen any permits applied for yet.

When driving by that monstrosity yesterday I realized that the prefab communist era apartment blocks that I posted from East Berlin were more aesthetically appealing than Haven.
