I can’t keep up with what has been reported and discussed, but friend of mine who works for Hearst posted something on social media saying they are getting the boot from the building. Not sure if just her department or Hearst generally.

I think Hearst moved a lot of people down to Ballantyne a few years back, so assuming that's where she's going???

Just following the musical chairs, US Bank is next and my guess is they go with the developer of the Spirit Square redevelopment by Cousins, which happens to own Hearst Tower. They anchor a new building no more than 400 feet, which allows for the Selwyn Strangler to continue his feed.

Once again big news is announced when I am out of town in the Capital City today.

Imagine if you stayed up here in the Triangle for a while, Charlotte would probably have like six 1,000 footers breaking ground by the end of the year.

I would think you'd want a name that could be easily pronounced by non-English speakers. That name might be deceptively difficult for some:

"Troost."

"No, it's Truist."

"Tree-oost"?

"No. Troo-ist. But almost like one syllable."

"Treest"?

"No! TROO-ist."

"TROO East"?

"Whatever."
